Save the Earth: Plant Trees
In this modern era, we all have experienced the devastating effects of climate change. It destroyed a huge part of everything in this planet. The natural calamities that has taken place in the world is a call for the human race to take care of the planet. The flood, earthquake, tsunami, typhoon landslides and many calamities destroy the Earth is just a short period of time and who’s going to be blamed?
It is us humans. Every now and then, there are equipment that are invented which contribute to the planet’s destruction. However, there are still inventions that is intended for the safety and maintenance of Earth. As an individual living in this planet, you should not sit there and relax, do something essential for the better of the planet.
We need to take action to save the planet through human destructions. We need to plant trees. It is a cliché. However, it is one of the ways to prevent floods from entering into your community and it also prevents landslides form occurring. Loggers, legal or not legal have no authority to destroy the things that are created and maintained by Mother Nature.
Trees should not be cut just to earn profit. The real issue here is not about money, it is about the forest. The more tree cut, the higher the risk it poses to human beings. Cutting the trees is a great way to start landslides. It would also make the temperature very hot because there would be no shade.

Recycling for the Earth’s Future
One of the many ways to maintain the Earth’s life is though recycling. Today, many grocery stores uses recyclable bags so that they can have part in keeping the planets’ figure. Moreover, there are laws imposed in many countries that prohibit the stores and other establishments to use plastic bags for their customers. It is also stated that when a grocery store has been proved to be using plastic bags, there is punishment wherein the store will be closed for a certain period depending on the offense made.
Recycling Glass
What would you do with a broken glass? For sure, you will throw it. Did you know that you can make money out of broken glasses? There are shops that buy broken glass for a reasonable price. They will recycle it and make it a new glass that can be used again. If it is not recycled, it will not be decompose. Glasses take millions of years for it to be totally decomposed. Therefore, you need to recycle.
Using a Clean Cloth instead of Diaper
Diaper contributes to the waste that scattered all over the road. In numbers, there are million tons of waste that are collected. Actually, diapers are like plastics, they can’t be decomposed easily. In order to prevent this to happen, you should use a clean cloth instead of using a disposable diaper. Through this, you can save money and you can easily get them because it’s all in your cabinet.

Shopping is exciting and a happy experience but spending is the exact opposite. Unfortunately, you cannot shop if you do not have money and you cannot be satisfied until you lose all your money. No matter what you see it, shopping can lead to serious problems in the near future.
If you are vulnerable to shopping, it is time that you learn the pitfalls and eventually learn how to avoid it. Whether you are fond of online or actual shopping, you have to consider the following pitfalls so you will know in the future if you are treading on a destructive road:
- Buying a thing that “almost” fits: When you buy a thing, do not consider those that “almost fits”. You have to think of your “right-now” body instead of forcing it to fit.
- Buying a thing you already have: If you have that kind of thing, there is no need to buy another one. The best thing to do is take an inventory before shopping so you will not waste money on duplicating things.
- Buying a thing because it is on sale: Here in Singapore, sales are everywhere. It is truly tempting but you should not be lured into that trap.
- Buying a thing for single use: When you buy something, you have to be practical about it. Do not think that you will only use it for a single time. You have to make sure that you can use it multiple times.
- Buying a thing to make yourself better: People feel sad sometimes and there are different ways to cope up but shopping should not be an option. Yes it will give you happiness and even distract you but it can be a source of regret at the end of the day.
There are other pitfalls but so far, these are the most common. Shopping malls are common here in Singapore but you can do something about it.

Nobel Peace Prize Winner
People are all excited for this year’s Nobel Prize. Many see Nobel Prize as the most prestigious award in the world. In the past days, Nobel were awarded to outstanding people in the field of Medicine and Physics. Few days later, the Nobel Peace prize winner was announced.
On Friday, October 10, 2014, a 17 year old student was summoned from her chemistry class to receive the news that she is to become the 2014 Nobel Peace prize winner. The student was Ms. Yousafzai. Some Singaporeans were amazed of the news because she is the youngest Nobel Peace prize winner.
Her name will be included together with other prominent people like Mother Teresa and Dr. Martin Luther King. Here are some things that you need to know about Ms. Yousafzai:
- Education: Ms. Yousafzai is a high school student at Edgbaston High School for Girls. She is from Pakistan but is now studying in England after being shot by Talibans in 2012. Though she is now recovered, she still misses her home and the environs.
- Advocacies: The main advocacy of Ms. Yousafzai is education for girls. She began when she was 11. She is now working with a non-profit organization that is focused on education for girls. With this, she has become a prominent face of “moderate Islam”.
There are other sceptics that think she is a child and she can do little for the world. However, many would agree that making the world a better place transcends beyond the age. For Singaporean teens out there, you can become Ms. Yousafzai if you really want it. Nobel Peace prize is not elusive for people who show exceptional passion for peace.

Almost all of Singaporeans love soccer. For men who love soccer, they emulate their idols in the field. If you really love soccer, you surely know about the success story of Hariss Harun. - Enlist in matches: You want to be famous so you will be considered, right? You can do this by enlisting in matches. You should belong to a team and undertake a role. Make sure that you excel because there will come a time that you will be noticed. Coaches know when they see real talents. Always beat yourself when you play.
- Seek professionals: You are not alone in this world. You need the guidance and expertise of professionals. You need to look for a coach. You have to be obedient and respectful. More importantly, listen.
Sounds easy but the truth is, it is very hard to achieve. When you put your heart to it, you will surely reap the benefits. It may not be sooner but for sure, in the near future it will happen.
